Psychedelics can be ‘mind manifesting,’ but they also can help us re-root in our bodily experience to tap into the wisdom of the body.

About this event

The Psychedelic Body: A Movement Workshop to Strengthen The Mind Body Connection

Psychedelics can be ‘mind manifesting,’ but they also can help us re-root in our bodily experience to tap into the inherently psychedelic wisdom of the body. Strengthening the mind-body connection can help us cultivate a deep sense of self-trust and compassion, and it can help us tap into a more expansive human experience.

On Sunday, August 21st from 6-8pm, join BPS in collaboration with GOOD MOVE for an evening of Psychedelic Movement where we will explore how movement can be used to prepare for journeying, to have a fulfilling and expansive experience in our bodies, to reclaim our bodily autonomy, and to integrate our psychedelic insights into our daily lives.

Jules Bakshi, founder and CEO of GOOD MOVE, will lead a guided movement experience exploring various ways we can reconnect with our bodies and strengthen the mind body connection, as well as connection with each other. These practices offer tools for building trust in the wisdom of our bodies, and they encourage creativity, curiosity, play, expansion and community building . After a gentle warm up, Jules will lead us through a series of guided visualizations and movement improvisations followed by group movement exercises. This practice is for movers of all levels, genders, shapes and sizes, and no movement or dance experience is required.

As a special treat, VYBES will be the beverage sponsor for Psychedelic Movement, providing adaptogenic tonics to balance the mind and body.

Jules is a professional dancer, choreographer, and health and fitness coach. Recognized as one of the 'Top 10 Summer Workouts In The World' by W Magazine, Jules’ classes seamlessly blend together body positive dance and fitness. She is known for creating warm and welcoming spaces where movers of all levels can feel free and empowered through mindful movement.

This class will meet at the GOOD MOVE location at 43 S 4 St in Williamsburg. Tickets are $50 but please email us at hello@bps.community if you need any assistance to join. Come in comfortable clothes and be ready to move – we can’t wait to see you there!
