Calling all athletes and coaches!

Training through pregnancy and returning postpartum requires more guidance and knowledge than, "listen to your body,""do what you've always done," and "you're cleared!"

We have to know what to watch and listen for, how to modify BEYOND just exercise selection, and be aware of the considerations surrounding core and pelvic health for long term function and performance.

Coaches, we have to ask the right questions and give better guidance to the women who are trusting us to navigate this unique chapter in their training.

The goal of this seminar is to provide hands on guidance for implementing a training, mindset and recovery strategy through informed decision making and fitness considerations for pregnant and postpartum athletes. We will go over ways to reduce, manage and improve symptoms such as incontinence (peeing doing double unders??) Diastasis Recti and pelvic organ prolapse.

We want to eliminate the "I wish I would have known!” or “I wish I would have approached this differently,” sentimenets that come up SO often among pregnant and postpartum athletes.

This seminar is hands on, interactive and critical education to the unique chapter that is pregnancy and postpartum athleticism

Introduction/ fitness culture & messaging

Athlete Brain (mindset, reasoning, justificaiton, troubleshooting)

10am-12pm

-Considerations & Symptoms (Diastasis Recti, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, etc)

-Strategies

-Analysis of common tendencies in movement patterns during pregnancy and postpartum

12:00 Lunch (TBD)


1:00-3:00pm

About Brianna...


Brianna Battles is the CEO of Everyday Battles LLC and founder of Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism. She specializes in coaching pregnant and postpartum athletes, and has created online certificaitons and resources for coaches and athletes.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism has grown into an international movement and team of coaches who are equipped to work with pregnant and postpartum athletes in their community and online.

Brianna is an advocate for women who want train during pregnancy and make a sustainable return to performance, lifestyle, function, career and activity in the postpartum chapter. She has worked to bridge the gap between women's health considerations and athletic performance, which has allowed her to coach a variety of athletes and coaches to be able to do the same.

Brianna has her Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She is an active member of the NSCA where she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a USAW Sports Performance Coach. She has has completed multiple continuing education courses and mentorships in the women’s health and strength and conditioning realm.

She lives in Southern California with her husband, 2 sons (Cade and Chance) and 2 boxers.
