The Practical Power of Gratitude During a Pandemic
Event Information
About this event
Everywhere around us, the news is unsettling. Things we used to rely on are different, canceled or unknown. Our friends must now be “distant”. And the kids are all home. Indefinitely.
At the same time, we are grateful for things we may have taken for granted before. Toilet paper on the shelves. A call from a friend. A moment alone. Actively recognizing our gratitude in the time of COVID will improve our mood, increase our optimism and remind us of how special, beautiful and fortunate our lives are, even under these stressful conditions.
Please join The StudyPro and Jerry Posner, author, speaker and humorist for a special talk about:
"The Practical Power of Gratitude During a Pandemic”
As a dynamic motivational speaker and entertainer who presents engaging workshops around the globe, Jerry uses neuroscience, behavioral psychology, and social science, to explain how powerful it can be to express gratitude daily.
Jerry will share with us:
* The benefits of showing gratitude, especially in the time of COVID
* What parents can do to model gratitude for our children
* Simple “Grati-Tools” that help us easily practice ourselves and with our families (e.g. his famous "grati-Tuesdays” and gratitude walks)
* How to build the habit of gratitude
Noticing more of what and who we are grateful for not only improves optimism but it improves our moods and provides us with a better way to cope with stress. Please join us to put on some “grati-glasses” for an hour to see the best in each other and in our lives.
