In at least the last decade we’ve seen the quality and reparability of necessary medical equipment decline, and the bureaucratic process become lengthier and arduous. We cannot predict where the ability to adequately provide for those in need will land after coming healthcare cuts and tariffs. The cost has risen where the quality hasn’t decreased but the reparability remains in decline.

Considering what we have seen and what we can only speculate is coming our mission to enable community solutions in this realm is very important. We must take action to ensure that as a society we refuse to leave our own family, friends, and neighbors in unnecessary situations of suffering. Disability brings enough unavoidable suffering.

We can do this and The Mobility Independence Foundation exists to create and encourage the use of the tools needed to do what those who cannot understand won’t do. Now is the time for those of us with disabilities to take back the industries that are intended to serve us.

For us, by us, and with the help of those who care about us.
