Event description

Description

Connect Family Law invites you to be a part of its ongoing Divorce Salons, a resource for individuals dealing with separation or divorce. Combining the best of a speaker series and a meet-up group, our Divorce Salons offer participants both a learning opportunity and the chance to connect with others who are going through similar experiences.

For our May 8th Salon in Kelowna, we are pleased to welcome Laurie Bartley from Heart Centered Living. Laurie's workshop will lead participants through a process of understanding how our emotions during a separation or divorce can affect our bodies through headaches, fatigue, digestive problems, and other types of physical pain and suffering.

Participants will learn how to identify the emotions that may be causing them physical stress and how to release those emotions, so that they are better equipped to manage the often difficult transition of a separation or divorce.

Light refreshments will be served.

About Laurie

Laurie Bartley, who created Heart-Centered Living in Kelowna as a space to gather and combine talents and ideas through conversations, meditations, and other mindful practices, offers support and guidance to help us live a full, healthful life through a variety of healing arts. With an extensive background in hospice work, Laurie continues to volunteer in this setting and has companioned with hundreds of people in their final days and breaths. A prolific public speaker and writer, she also offers wisdom through keynote addresses at various conferences and events and on her blog and is currently authoring a book entitled The Art of Heart – Mastering Profound Transition to Ease, Clarity, & Grace.

As Divorce Salon discussions are designed to be confidential, we will ask participants to sign a brief confidentiality document before the event. We will also complete a conflict check at the time of registration to rule out any possible conflicts of interest.
