About the Workshops

Morning Workshop | Meditation: Beyond the Basics Some meditation practices, such as meditating on the sensation of the breath, are very simple and accessible. With regular practice, meditation is an incredibly effective way to handle stress and develop a more relaxed, positive and caring attitude. The morning teachings will explore how to design an inspiring and effective structure that sustains a regular meditation practice. Come to this practical workshop to take your meditation practice to the next level!

Afternoon Workshop | Buddhist Psychology: A Seven-Fold Division of Mind Countless thoughts and feelings ceaselessly arise and subside within the mind. Which of them dependably lead to peace of mind and happiness? Buddha explained a seven-fold division of mind that guides us in evaluating which states of mind are truly reliable and beneficial, helping us to overcome our own suffering and help others to do the same. Through exploring and meditating upon these teachings, we can develop insights that lead us toward the inner change we seek. This is an essential topic for those wishing to understand the depth of Buddha's teachings on the potential of the mind.
