Event description

Description

A one day workshop immersion into the art and skill of writing and delivering personal stories.

Who is it for?

For Speakers, Business Owners, Managers, Sales people, and anyone wishing to contribute to their community.

Why Personal Stories?

We are in the age of connection having past through the age of information. Stories are now our currency, because its the best way to inform others about who we are and what we do. People trust people who are open and expressive about themselves. Our stories carry our motivations, our challenges and our unique gifts.

What will I come away with?

Its easy to think our stories are insignificant or uninteresting. But the stories of our personal journey contain gold for what they reveal about us. They carry much needed teaching medicine. We will identify significant stories that carry a message of influence. We will explore ways to bring a story to life, how to ensure the essential ingredients are there, and how to edit it for impact.

What will the day involve?

The day will be highly interactive, with assignments and practice. We will be generous with each other and give ourselves permission to experiment with style and delivery so we feel 'at home' in what we create. We will definitely be stretching our storytelling muscles in friont of each other, at the same time being challenged only by choice.

What do I need to bring?

Wear comfortable and easy clothing and bring writing tools. No preparation needed.
