The instructors, Angela Podolsky & Sean Grogan, are both licensed Paul Ekman associates. Dr. Paul Ekman is the pioneer in the study of emotions, deception and the scientific adviser for the TV series “Lie to Me”. The instructors will integrate his research and insight into the studies of the 7 universal expressions, body language, truthfulness, and credibility, in this unique seminar. You will learn how to use the emotional timeline from trigger… to impulse… to action so that you build your skills around awareness and the impact of your verbal and non-verbal communication.

At this seminar, you will learn and practice how to:

• Use the 5 channels of communication effectively, including how to use your voice to impact others

• Read others’ messages through non-verbal behaviors

• Recognize truthfulness and deception in others

• Read the 7 universal facial expressions

• Identify triggers and how they operate

• Understand emotions in yourself and how to respond rationally not impulsively to emotionally charged situations

• Identify your own personal triggers

• Notice the different body language positions and what they mean

• Increase self-awareness and awareness of others

This knowledge will equip you with skills to adeptly use non-verbal communication and emotional intelligence to your advantage. Our seminar is designed to help you become more aware of your non-verbal communication and emotions (before they get you into any trouble).

About the instructors:

Sean Grogan has more than a decade of experience as a law enforcement officer, and almost seven years as a detective in a special investigations’ unit. Sean has received numerous recognitions for his work and has also been certified as a gang professional by the East Coast Gang Investigators Association. Sean is the founder of OneFace, a training company that specializes in training law enforcement in nonverbal communication.

Angela Podolsky is a behavior analyst and non-verbal communication expert. She is the founder of kinesics.com a consulting firm that works with startups to fortune 500 businesses in helping them develop the skills they need to quickly build rapport, deliver impactful presentations, win negotiations, read non-verbal messages and excel interrogations. Angela as well mentors, judges at startup competitions and in recognition of her business acumen and community influence, the Chamber of Commerce presented her with the 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
