Event description

Description

What is the impact of music on the brain and why does it move us so much? Come learn what our tradition teaches about music as sacred expression, and be ready to sing niggunim, share in a drum circle, and explore all that music has to offer. Each morning will include two sessions (one more intellectual & one more experiential) with a short break in-between. While you can attend free of charge, please consider making a donation of $18/person/session.

April 30 – Cantor Lynn Torgove: “Frauenstimmen: Women’s Voices from the Ravensbrück

Concentration Camp; a Musical Cabaret”

May 7 – Rabbi Nehemia Polen: “Niggunim”

May 21 - Cantor Becky Khitrik and Hankus Netsky: “Klezmer”

This program is a part of Congregation Mishkan Tefila and Hebrew College's Adult Learning Series.
