Event description
Learn strategies to enhance your ability to provide play therapy online.

About this event

This training will explore the appropriate use and integration of digital tools into play therapy, for telehealth and beyond. By incorporating clients' interests and entering their world both on and offline, digital play therapy allows providers to welcome cultural shifts and maintain a foundation of inclusion within their treatment. While grounded in Prescriptive Play Therapy and the Therapeutic Powers of Play, there is room for many different modalities and approaches under the play therapy umbrella.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify a core agent of change of at least one Therapeutic Power of Play.
  • Explain one component of the prescriptive nature of digital play therapy.
  • Identify at least 2 of the 5 C’s of digital play therapy.
  • List the names of at least 1 digital program that has identified therapeutic value
  • Describe how the Therapeutic Powers of Play graphic can be used to assist you in writing clinical notes.
  • Describe how digital play therapy can be used in telehealth.
