Join us as we re-imagine the Southern literary landscape—past, present, future. In its return after two years' pause, our annual fundraiser will feature writerly camaraderie and a thought-provoking conversation between award-winning writer Kiese Laymon, author of HEAVY: AN AMERICAN MEMOIR and Danté Stewart, author of SHOUTIN' IN THE FIRE: AN AMERICAN EPISTLE.
- 6:30 - Doors open for guests to mingle, enjoy cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres, and choose party favors from the HIP HUES swag station
- 7:30 - Musical guest Allison Moorer opens the program, followed by featured conversation
Patron ticket holders receive VIP seating, an additional goodie from HIP HUES, and a signed copy of Laymon's book.
- Free parking in adjacent lot
- To keep everyone safe, proof of vaccination & booster will be required. Guests are kindly asked to wear masks when not actively eating and drinking.
