Description

The Politics of Policies and the Impact on the Health of African Americans will include focus on past, present and future policy impact on the community. The talks Out of One, Many Black Clevelands: Cultural Trauma and the Impact on Black Voter Turnout; Black Lives Matter the New Black Power Movement: The Father of Ohio Policy Speaks. We have a few speakers that will discuss African American policy history including Rev Dr Zachary Williams, Dick Peery, Dr Sonya Siler, Susan L. Smith, and Leonard Moore.

The current state of local, state and national politics is vitally important to the health of the African American community and after our recent State of Mental Health Disparities in the African American Community conference it was important for us to discuss policies and health.
