Darlings, darlings, darlings, where have you been? Too long has passed since we heard your hearts beating in our hallowed halls of debauchery and ghosts. If you feel something cold and dark in your hearts, sweetlings, come to us. Place your faces on our windowsill, place your palms on our door, it's warm in here children, what's burning in our pots is post mortem, what's burning in our pots is secret sage, we're calling the spirits within you and without, we're calling the animals in your knees, let whatever it is resting within you free, if only for this night, don yourself inside out, deck your heart and let it fly from your chest in a spiral around your whole self, and bring the darkness forth and bring it to The Poetry Brothel. The Madame invites you on November 1st for a dark evening celebrating the universality of death. This event will featured house band the Hot Club of Flatbush, burlesque angel Cassandra Rosebeetle, aerialists, The Lost Boys, musical duo Sleep No Sleep, illusionist, Daniel Taylor, tarot reader, Nota Bene, face & body painter Lilah Quinn, palm reader and witchy wonder Holy Crow, and as always, your poetry whores.
Doors open at 8pm; show starts at 9pm. Themed costumes and/or formalwear are encouraged but not required.
This event is 21+.
