- What to know before you quit your day job.
- A game plan for securing sponsors that align with your mission.

This event is open to those curious about the podcasting industry and professionals looking to network and absorb some creative energy.
About the Speakers
Patrick Armstrong is host of the Conversation Piece Podcast, a project aiming to share the untold stories of Indianapolis. Throughout the podcast's 100+ episodes, Patrick prioritizes letting people tell their story, evident through his Open Door sessions, a monthly opportunity for community members to drop by and share what's important to them on air, sponsored by Life in Indy. Patrick also co-hosts The Janchi Show, which centers the Korean adoptee experience, speaks at events and workshops, and hosts community events, like the inaugural AANHPI Market, which took place at the Stutz in early May.
John Overton is an audio engineer and producer, with 15+ years of experience in the entertainment industry. He specializes in transforming ideas into captivating audio experiences, leveraging his skills as a freelancer with his company, Popular Rapture, and Round Table Recording Company. John currently engineers the Conversation Piece Podcast, the Follow D$ Podcast, and the North Indy Podcast.
Ella Ashwill is the founder and creative director of theERA, an artist management and creative partnerships studio centered on artist-led collaboration, placemaking, and community-rooted storytelling. With over a decade of experience in Los Angeles and now based in Indianapolis, Ella brings a collaborative, people-centered approach to public art, talent management, and creative strategy. Recent projects include leading the art curation for Hobbs Station in Plainfield and serving on the Arts & Culture Committee for Rev. She also manages operations and sponsorships for the FollowD$ podcast and for Stretch, while managing and supporting other artists and creatives across Indy and beyond with contracts, brand strategy, and partnership development.
