Electric vehicles are quickly becoming the hottest autos on the market, and their wider adoption presents an array of opportunities and challenges for our cities, utilities, businesses, and neighbors.
CleanTech OC and UC Irvine are hosting a series of panel discussions exploring what it means to be “PEV-ready,” featuring speakers representing startup and major auto manufacturers, electric vehicle charging systems, the utilities, regulatory agencies, and other critical stakeholders.

Panel #1: The PEV Has Arrived
Panel 1 will take the “30,000 foot view” of the PEV industry and readiness, with a broader focus on issues related to charging infrastructure build-out (residential and beyond), how widespread PEV adoption relates to the electrical grid, thoughts from the EV automotive industry, and the early challenges posed by widespread PEV adoption.

Orange County Sustainability Council
The Orange County Sustainability Council seeks to help businesses and other organizations develop and implement meaningful sustainability programs. Building on the work of CleanTech OC’s highly successful Corporate Sustainability Officer Roundtable, the Council will develop a platform of sustainability best practices with tools that can be adopted by all sectors of the southern California community, particularly businesses, local governments, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. The Council will act as a sounding board, an educational hub, and a mentor in promoting and maturing sustainability throughout Orange County and Southern California. Longer term, the Council’s goal is to establish a gold standard in community sustainability.
