More than 125 infrastructure and climate change risk professionals from Canadian and international governments, development agencies, NGOs, and the private sector are assembling in Vancouver for the PIEVC Global Forum. The Forum will provide unique learning and networking opportunities. Participants will enjoy presentations by leading infrastructure and climate risk experts, be invited to share their own experiences with their Canadian and international counterparts, and have the opportunity to help shape the vision for the PIEVC Program and Practitioners’ Network.
Forum participants will have access to:
- All sessions and plenaries
- Refreshment breaks and lunches
- Evening reception on April 18th
- Networking opportunities and on-going access to the PIEVC Practitioners’ Network
Study tours with the purchase of the third day pass (spots are limited so register soon). Choose between:
- A tour of Metro Vancouver’s Iona Wastewater Treatment Plant and Iona Regional Park restoration projects. Learn more about the 2008 PIEVC study conducted on the plant and the current upgrades taking place.
- A City of Vancouver Green Infrastructure walking tour of Olympic Village. Learn more about how the city is integrating blue-green systems into the built environment and addressing sea level rise.
Please note: Each tour can vary in length and distance but will last approximately 3-4 hours (including lunch) and will end early afternoon. Each tour will cover 2-4.5 km of distance by foot or other means. If you have questions about accessibility please contact us before you book. The tours will run rain or shine.
