Hunger and weight regulation are not a simple game of calories in and calories out. While calories do matter, how hungry you are and how much weight your body demands you maintain are far more complex issues.

So which diet is best for optimizing your weight and conquering hunger? High fat, low fat, low carb, paleo, mediterranean, vegetarian or vegan... oh my!

In this talk we will cover the basics of hunger, weight and metabolism regulation. You will leave feeling empowered to understand your body's signals and with foundational tools for regulating your hunger and metabolism. You will have the tools you need to enable you to gain a healthy, holistic and life-long approach to food and hunger that will support effortless weight optimization.


ABOUT| Tressa Breindel
Tressa Breindel is a Functional medicine and Chinese medicine practitioner who specializes in understanding and treating the root causes of health issues. She obtained her Masters in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado and is a nationally certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist.
Her 3.5 year, 3000+ hour MSOM program included training in pediatrics, nutritional therapy, lifestyle counseling, tui na and Shiatsu. While earning her masters, she worked in a premier Chinese herbal pharmacy and studied alongside Chip Chace. She combines 16 years of education and experience in Western and Oriental physiology and medical practices, nutrition, mind-body therapies and stress management to support comprehensive healing in her patients.
She was motivated to figure out the underlying causes of health and illness in due to her diagnosis of Crohn's disease at 14. She has been an active member and served on boards of the Crohn's and Colitis Association of America (CCFA), promoting awareness of IBD and successful management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease through Functional and Oriental medicine.
