The Phoenix Newspaper is proud to announce its long-awaited Official Launch, 5th Anniversary Gala Showcase and Awards Presentation, set to take place on Saturday 5th December 2015 at the Bethel Convention Centre in West Bromwich, supporting Acorns Children’s Hospice and African-Caribbean Leukaemia Trust.

The theme for the day’s celebrations is Connecting Communities & Community Cohesion, including Health & Wellbeing, Community Safety, Communication & Education, and Travel & Tourism. To showcase 5 years of serving the community, The Phoenix Newspaper will be celebrating its 5th Anniversary with a BANG.

The day-long celebrations begin with the inaugural PhoenEx 2015, a Business Exhibition and Family Fun day. The Business Exhibition will be an opportunity for businesses, organisations and individuals to showcase their products and services to an audience of Phoenix readers and visitors that have been built up over the past 5 years.

The official opening of the days events will occur with the cutting of the ribbon, by the Lord Mayor.

Alongside the Business Exhibition, enjoy our Family Fun Day, featuring performances, refreshments and entertainment for all.

The evening festivities begin with the prestigious Black Tie Gala Meals. A 4 course sit-down dinner, or a buffet meal are available with limited places, followed by the 5th Anniversary Gala Showcase and Awards Presentation, featuring talent and key guest speakers from across the globe as well as a grand celebration of the Commonwealth with representation of the Commonwealth Leaders and FlagsInvited Guest Speakers include:

• Johnson JohnRose, Communications Specialist from the Caribbean Tourism Organisation
•  Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, Paul Sabapathy CBE

•   Keith Stokes-Smith, Chairman of the Birmingham Commonwealth Association

Performances from The Phoenix Trio (Mark Dwayne, Daniel Riley and Camara Fearon), Gospel Choirs, The Gatsby Girls and other special guests will punctuate the Gala Awards presentations throughout the evening.
The Gala Awards are a chance for the readers of The Phoenix to nominate individuals, organisations or businesses for awards across a range of categories.
This event will be a night to remember, connecting communities from all backgrounds, so book early to avoid disappointment.

If you are serious about meeting  the right people, and showcasing your products and services, this is the time to do it.
There will be up to 100 stalls available throughout the day.

Unlike many other exhibitions that you have showcased or exhibited at, we have pulled out all the stops to ensure that extensive advertising via radio, print, social media and banners & flyers will continue ongoing until the event, so it won’t be just stallholder and their stands.

We are expecting a total number of up to 5,000 people to experience this connecting of communities.
