The Phoenix 2014 - Women's Only Competition

The Phoenix is a CrossFit Central Women’s Competition designed for Intermediate level female competitors. The Phoenix will test your individual abilities against your CrossFit peers. Ladies, this is your chance to rise up, take on a new challenge and prove to yourself exactly what you are capable of!

(NEW: masters division (40+) available!)
$75 per person
2 WODs in Heats + 1 Floater WOD
Registration: Opens MARCH
Qualifications – Intermediate Level Competition
- Not a Regionals Level competitor (team OR individual)
- CrossFitting 6 months-2 years
- Advanced skills and strength not required
Other Additional Details: If you are an advanced or elite level competitor or coach, please consider volunteering or judging at this event! Athletes that qualify for Regionals as an individual or team member are not eligible to compete at this event.
**You must register to judge or volunteer by MARCH 29th to guarantee shirt size!

The 2013 WODS
WOD 1 - Ladder
Complete as many reps as possible within 10 minutes of the sequence:
Cluster (clean to thruster) - 75lb barbell
Burpee Box Jumps - 20” Box
Pull Ups (chin over the bar)
You will do two clusters, two burpee box jumps, two pull ups, then 4 clusters, 4 BBJ, 4 PU, then 6, etc. until the 10 minute time cap.
WOD #2- Standing Diane - 8 Minute Cap
For time complete the following triplet:
Deadlift - 145lb
Dual Kettlebell Shoulder to Overhead - 12k/25lb Kettlebells
Floater WOD - 5 Minute Cap (Sign Up for your heat time at Event Check-In)
To be released on Saturday

6:45AM- Judges and Volunteers on Deck
7:00AM- Athlete Check-In & body marking, shirts distributed
7:00AM-8:30AM- Floater WOD Sign-Ups
7:30AM- Athlete Briefing
8:00AM- WOD 1 Starts
8:52AM-11:08AM- Floater WOD
9:30AM- WOD 2 Starts
11:30AM- Awards and wrap Up
11:45AM- after party at Javelina (featuring a Phoenix Signature Drink & paleo Menu)
- What to Bring:
- o Water Bottle, competition food/snacks, coolers are OK
- o Jump rope & tape
- o Lawn chairs, blankets, sun umbrellas, sunblock
- o Change of clothes for the after party!
Spectators (men are allowed too) are free!
Kids & Pets on a leash are welcome!
