The Perl Conference in Salt Lake City, 2018
Event Information
Description
The Perl Conference 2018 is once again being held at The Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT. It's a high-quality, inexpensive technical conference with its roots in Perl Mongers user groups. Formerly known as YAPC, The Perl Conference celebrates the Perl programming language and its community. It is meant to be accessible to anyone, regardless of experience, yet valuable to even the most skilled of programmers.
Each year the conference attracts hundreds of programmers from around the world, including luminaries such as Larry Wall, Randal Schwartz, and Sawyer X - the Perl 5 Pumpking.
This year our Keynote Speaker is VM (Vicky) Brasseur. Vicky is the proud winner of the Perl White Camel Award (2014) and the O’Reilly Open Source Award (2016). She's a moderator and author for opensource.com, a Director for the Open Source Initiative, and a frequent and popular speaker at free/open source conferences and events. She blogs about free/open source, business, and technical management at http://anonymoushash.vmbrasseur.com.
