You are invited to a different kind of candidate event! At the “People’s Caucus,” everyday people will share their stories and questions with presidential candidates asking how they will put people first - in education, immigration, veterans benefits and matters of basic justice for all.
WHO: All declared candidates for President are invited to join 800+ people representing working families, members of faith-based organizations, and veterans from Eastern Iowa and across Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
WHAT: A people-oriented candidate forum just three weeks before the Iowa caucus.
FORMAT: Candidates will appear one at a time for 25-30 minutes. Each candidate will provide 3-4 minute opening remarks, followed by a response to a question or questions from citizen participants and a follow up question from the moderator(s).

The Lane Evans Legacy Project aims to inspire a renewed commitment to values-based political leadership. The career and legacy of the late Congressman Lane Evans (D-IL) offers an example of authentic leadership that united people across lines of race, faith and party and spanned the urban-rural divide. Lane’s leadership inspired and helped Vietnam Veterans nationwide and is fondly remembered today by his constituents without regard to their partisan identifications.
