The Pelvic Floor Society (TPFS)

The Pelvic Floor Society is predominantly made up of colorectal surgeons, but has actively increased membership from associated allied health professionals including nurses, physiotherapists and clinical scientists. We have forged links with urological, urogynaecological and radiology colleagues and many are now members.

The Society has a number of roles nationally and sits as part of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland.

We have a responsibility in advising on current management of complex pelvic floor problems, advising on the resource requirements, clinical governance and commissioning of these services

We have become the primary port of call for all aspects of colorectal pelvic floor work for governmental bodies

We aim to coordinate and deliver training for the management of pelvic floor disorders for surgeons and allied specialties at all levels of training, throughout the UK

We have launched a National Database for registering the use of mesh in ventral mesh rectopexy and are helping governmental bodies to develop the next generation database

Finally, we foster and encourage research into the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of pelvic floor problems

Our recent conference venues have included Telford,Bristol, Birmingham, Bournemouth and Manchester, Our venues are carefully chosen for their stunning location and atmosphere to facilitate our aim of providing a successful and truly memorable conference for delegates, speakers and exhibitors alike.
