The Peaceable Kingdom - Lessons and Carols 2025
Overview
The Peaceable Kingdom - Lessons and Carols 2025
How can we experience peace that stands in defiance of all we see and feel in the world today? Join us on Sunday, December 14 at 6PM for The Peaceable Kingdom, a festival of Lessons and Carols. Free childcare (6 weeks to 4 years old) available by RSVP.
What is “Lessons and Carols”?
Lessons and Carols is a hundred year old Christmas service that we adapt annually for our twenty-first century context. We alternate Scripture readings (lessons) and songs (carols) to tell the story of Christ’s redemptive work in a beautiful and compelling way.
What should I expect?
Lessons and Carols will take place in The Union at Station West and will last for an hour and a half. You’ll receive a program that will outline the service, as well as directions to childcare (if applicable). The Peaceable Kingdom will feature a diverse range of musical styles from across the centuries.
We will also be hosting a silent auction of original art, with the proceeds going to a local Charlotte non-profit.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes! We want to prepare for your arrival, and if you have children ages 6 weeks to four years old, you will need to RSVP for childcare here so that we can ensure the best quality of care for your kids!
