Overview
4-day Camp For Students Entering Grades 9-12 in Fall 2026
Step into the world where science meets patient care! In this hands-on camp, students will explore how discoveries in the lab become lifesaving treatments. Through experiments, medical case studies, and research simulations, they’ll trace the journey of translational medicine—from uncovering disease biology to developing diagnostic tools and testing potential therapies. By week’s end, campers will leave with a deeper curiosity about how research transforms into the treatments that shape our lives.
Guided Activities
- Investigate how lab experiments on cells and tissues lead to new treatments.
- Analyze mock patient data to diagnose diseases and propose possible therapies.
- Practice pipetting, microscopy, and diagnostic testing with safe, simulated samples.
- Debate real-world medical ethics cases related to research trials and patient care.
- Collaborate in research teams to present findings from a simulated clinical study.
