Event description

Description

As parents, we all have expectations for our children from birth to adulthood. Our expectations define, in part, how we raise them. But what happens when our teen rebels and become disrespecful, and the acting-out behavior fails to meet our expectations? What do you do as a parent when you become afraid of your child. We know what you're thinking, "Parents become afraid of their child? How is this possible?" This is the reality of a lot of homes today. Dr. Kris F. Williams-Falcon will help you explore ways of letting go, in order to identify new expectations and understanding. They will discuss the role of education as a parental expectation and how it fits into the life of a rebellious teen. This is a powerhouse seminar coming to Charlotte, NC that you don't want to miss.

The Marriage, Family, and Pediatric Psychotherapy Group fosters healthy families by teaching parents new tools and styles support to change their child's behavior. Sometimes the teens and young adults in our families present huge challenges, or are enduring problems unknown to their parents. Conventional parenting techniques don’t seem to work in today's society, and going to far in discipline could lead to legalities within your family and courts. Parents and guardians in these situations are searching for help and support. This is why this seminar and retreat is so important.

The our seminar helps parents and guardians change their behavior in response to the problems they face with their children. Step by step, parents can affect the dynamics in their home by making small changes.
