Event description

Description

The Center for Architecture and Design is once again pleased to sponsor a Lazarus holiday tradition with a cityscape inspired holiday train window display.

As in previous years, we invite architects, landscape architects, and designers to show off their model making chops and visionary thinking as we collectively contemplate possibilities for the skyline of Columbus. This year’s theme is High-Rise Home for the Holidays.

Up to 15 participating teams may purchase a 12”x18” plot along the train line – upon which to mount their concept (a model) for high-rise living-working-playing, etc. inspired by the “festive spirit of the holidays.“ Models will be constructed with all white Legos® (clear for glass is acceptable) – no shorter than 24” and no taller than 48” (suggested ranges). Please note that unlike last year, we encourage teams to not use power/lights in their models. Once you register, Lego® sets are available at The Center, 50 W. Town St., Suite 110, to be picked up and used for your model. We can also deliver sets to you.

Fee to Enter: $150

Deadline: Models due Nov. 29, 2017

Contact Joe Moss at 614.670-1270 or moss@grad.cc for size and technical coordination. Contact The Center at 614.469.1973 to arrange pickup or delivery of sets.

Please plan to join us for our opening reception Friday, Dec. 1, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
