Date and time
Celebrating the opening of the group exhibition:"The Memories Won't Fade Away"
About this event
Join us in celebrating the opening of The Memories Won’t Fade Away – UVA Alumnae Special Exhibition, which traces the steps of three renowned artists who started at UVA and Charlottesville. This event takes place on Friday, May 6th, 2022.
At the event, you will enjoy art, music, drinks, and free refreshments. Come explore the various activities on May 6th, Friday evening!
About the exhibition:
Art helps us commemorate the memories made in Charlottesville. Paintings make artists and their audience engage in an act of remembrance because they require the arc of time to produce, forcing artists to convey moments that are special to them from their time in this beautiful city and therefore, making the art dynamic.
About the opening:
There will be an opportunity to interact with art. Join us by choosing one uncolored image designed by one of our artists of Charlottesville or UVA and color it in by yourself! Once finished, you can keep your work as a souvenir from the exhibit and frame it!

5:00 - 5:30 pm EST: Check-in
5:30 - 6:00 pm EST: Artist Guided Tour
6:00 - 6:30 pm EST: Artist Interview
