Title:  The Ongoing Evolution of Addiction and Recovery Culture in the United States

Presenter:    Kim Manlove, Director, Indiana Addictions Issues Coalition

Description:  The current field of Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment has been evolving for almost eight decades. However, a significant shift in the culture of recovery from addiction has been most dramatic in the past 20 years.  This webinar will examine the recent transformation of the culture of recovery and discuss the implication of these changes for the addictions treatment field.  Specific recommendations for the treatment community and a list of supportive and responsive activities will also be provided.

The IU School of Education at Indianapolis is unique, rich in culture, diversity, technology, and dedicated to offering a variety of quality programs for pre-service and in-service education professionals.
