The One-Cent Magenta by James Barron: A special event to meet the Author

New York Times reporter James Barron will be at Steinway Piano Gallery to talk about his new book, The One-Cent Magenta: Inside the Quest to Own the Most Valuable Stamp in the World. This behind-the-scenes look at the obsessive, secretive, and often bizarre world of high-profile stamp collecting is told through the journey of a single stamp, which recently sold at auction for nearly $9.5 million.
Barron is also the author of Piano: The Making of a Steinway Concert Grand.
The event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required to assure adequate seating is available. A box lunch may be purchased by pre-order only. You are also able to pre-order your copy of The One Cent Magenta which you can pick up at the event for Mr. Barron's signature. Doors will open at 11:00 AM and the program will begin promptly at noon.
