The Nuts and Bolts of Buying a Home
San Francisco, United States
Learn the homebuying process, how to select a mortgage and what resources are available to first time homebuyers in SF.
The housing market has changed dramatically. There are some fantastic, affordable options to buy your first home. Learn to manage the home-buying process as a series of smaller steps, understand who is involved at various points in the home-buying process, calculate how much you can afford and review the mortgage loan application process. In this workshop you will learn about the various homeownership types in San Francisco including Below Market Rate (BMR) units. We will review Federal and City level first time homebuyer assistance programs including the Downpayment Assistance Loan Program (DALP) and The American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI).
This workshop series is approved by the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and offers a certificate in homebuyer education upon completion of the series.
