The Non Nonprofit: For-Profit Thinking for Nonprofit Success
Event Information
Description
Join a panel discussion of the new book The Non Nonprofit: For-Profit Thinking for Nonprofit Success. It will feature the book's author, social entrepreneur Steve Rothschild, and representatives from higher education, the nonprofit sector, and the philanthropic sector.
Rothschild launched Yoplait yogurt in the U.S. and later became Executive Vice President of General Mills. He then crossed sectors to found Twin Cities RISE!, a highly successful poverty reduction program.
In his book, The Non Nonprofit, he shares the same business principles that drive the world's best companies, showing how they can (and should) be applied to the realm of nonprofits. These principles will be highlighted by Rothschild and the panelists at this event, as they discuss what it takes to make nonprofits effective.
