The Next step: Guiding you from idea to startup
Event Information
Description
Working on a startup idea but don't know the first step? Or the next step? Did you just complete a Startup Weekend, #SocEnt Weekend or other hackathon and wondering what comes next? Have you thought of a must-have product or service, but have no idea how to get from idea to startup? The Next Step will be your guide, taking you step-by-step through the process from raw idea to operational startup.
Based on the book of the same name, author Michael "Luni" Libes will guide you step by step through the process of planning and executing your business.
The workshop series is five weeks long, meeting each Monday from November 10th through December 12th), covering the whole contents of the book, from idea to customer, market, opportunity size, financial planning, fund raising, pitching, and more.
As this knowledge is useful across social enterprise, clean tech, software/"tech", etc., the workshops are going to be held at HUB Seattle in the Center for Impact and Innovation.
Luni is a serial entrepreneur with 20+ years of startup experience across six startups, Entrepreneur in Residence and Social Entreprenurship instructor at the Bainbridge Graduate Insitute, Entrepreneur in Residence Emeritus at the University of Washington's Center for Commercialization, co-creator of #SocEnt Weekend, and founder and Managing Director of Fledge, the "conscious company" incubator.
