The New Administration’s Impact on Banking and its impact on the US Economy

Presented by Michael A. Edwards, President and Chief Operating Officer of Paragon Bank, and a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Paragon, Mr. Edwards was with a regional bank in the Memphis area for 30 years where he served in a variety of positions including president of the Memphis area. Mr. Edwards received his bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in finance and accounting from Rhodes College and attended the Southwestern School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and the Barrett School of Banking at the University of Memphis. He currently serves as a member of the Orpheum Theatre Memphis Board, the United Way of the Mid South Board and the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy Board. He is the past chair of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra Board. Mr. Edwards has also been involved with the Tennessee Bankers Association, Leadership Germantown, the Germantown Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce.
