The National Youth Summit on Education, Justice and the US Economy: The Leadership Academy at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, is an exceptional opportunity that will bring together student leaders, educators and community leaders from cities across the United States to work with civil rights icons, leading educators, justice professionals, and economists. visit us at www.TheNYS.org
Nov. 12th - Opening Ceremonies beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Historic Ebenezer Church* (Doors open at 6:00 and close at 6:25)
Nov. 13th - Plenary Sessions beginning at 9:00 a.m. in King Chapel at Morehouse
Nov. 14th - Workshops beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Massey Leadership Center at Morehouse
*Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and will close at 6:25. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30.
Participants will learn to take ownership of their lives by creating educational excellence, examining the school to prison pipeline, creating models of discipline based on inherent strengths and develop innovative economic strategies not dependent upon the current system of mass incarceration. Students will be encouraged to pursue a resurgence of academic excellence, highly engaged educators and exceptional expectations for themselves and those that serve them. Students will work with:

The Summit includes a day of touring historic sites Sunday, November 12, 2017, followed by an extraordinary opening ceremony and reception in Historic Ebenezer Heritage Sanctuary. On Monday, November 13th, participants will participate in a full day of plenary sessions with national experts and a keynote speaker. And on Tuesday, November 14th, participants will engage in workshops with civil rights legends, leading educators, academics, and economists.
Early registration and group discounts are available to school districts and organizations.The Early Registration discount of $50 per student/chaperone is available for 30 days from the date of email invitation from The Ethics Project. An additional $25 dollar discount per registrant is available for group registrations of ten or more.
