Event description
In honor of Women’s history month, MUCE presents The Nanny Series

About this Event

The Nanny Series: an exhibition combining the use of surrealist painting and postcolonial theory to explore the invisible voices of the domestic worker, most especially the nannies.

Once an experience well known to African American women from slavery through the late 60's, the job has since passed to immigrants seeking opportunities for their families. It's a story rarely heard in mainstream and speaks directly on immigration, human trafficking and gender identity.
