Event description

Description

The concert will raise funds for The Mzimkhulu Trust which supports the Lorraine Poswa Mzimkhulu Pre-School in Libode, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The pre-school provides vital early years education for the children of a community that suffered the worst deprivation of the apartheid years.

Come along to the iconic South Africa House in Trafalgar Square and enjoy fantastic South African music by the group London Zulu, led by Ingrid Webster, the daughter of the legendary Doreen Webster. After being exiled from South Africa in the apartheid era, Doreen became a major figure in the London African music scene. Doreen passed away in 2010 and her band is now fronted by Ingrid. London Zulu will be followed by the acclaimed DJ Mkhukhwini, who was raised on the streets of Johannesburg. While recovering from a shooting that had left him wheel chair bound, music became his calling and he continues to proudly represent the South african music industry across the world.

Ticket price includes food, South African wine and soft drinks.
