Event description

Description

In this half day workshop, we'll uncover the myth of multitasking, reveal strategies for singletasking, and discuss why it's so difficult to focus in a culture that praises the ability to multitask. Participants will leave with a personal plan for singletasking.

The workshop will be held in one of the Frick Park Environmental Center's indoor classrooms and will include individual reflective time spent on the grounds and trails near the center.

What to Expect

Participants should expect to learn why multitasking doesn't work and to explore, with others, how well juggling multiple tasks is serving us (or not). Under the direction of Associated Certified Coach Amy Camp, the group will also consider the freedom that comes with focusing and staying present on a single task. The workshop will conclude with participants drafting their own personal plans for singletasking. Expect to slay all day after you've incorportated some focus into your life!
