Event description

Description

the Myers -Thrivent Community is hosting a Holiday Concert featuring SimpleGifts with Billy McLaughlin. SimpleGifts makes musical magic by bringing a modern flair to traditional Christmas carols and hymns. Staying close to the heart of Christmas by avoiding commercial and pop holiday repertoire has become the trademark of this award winning six-piece ensemble.

the Myers believe the spirit of generosity lives through the currency of our time, talents and treasures. Our calling is to partner with individuals, families and charities to achieve financial confidence and freedom to live more present, joyful and generous lives. We welcome you to join us as we host this Holiday Concert to raise money to support non-profit organizations in our community.

100% of your ticket sale goes to support one of the local non-profit organizations of your choice below.

The Friends in Need Food Shelf has been serving the communities of Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park and Grey Cloud Island for the past 27 years. We serve around 28,000 people a year and take pride in allowing clients to come in every other week, instead of once a month, which is the norm. We provide bountiful amounts of fresh produce, meat, milk, eggs, deli, dairy, and toiletries as well as non-perishables. We are so grateful for the wonderful support from our generous community!

SoWashCo CARES (South Washington County Community Action Reaching Every Student) is a community led effort to help meet the needs of our students in the South Washington County School District (ISD833). Serving as a central connection point between the community and the schools, SoWashCo CARES matches needs with resources while building relationships to create a community that is engaged in helping its students succeed. Through the SoWashCo CARES Facebook page, followers in the community can see posts requesting specific items for students and families in need. Requested items could include food, clothing, winter gear, toiletries, gas cards and more. In partnership with ISD833, these items can be dropped off at schools throughout the district and go directly to the students and families who are in need. It's our community helping our community!

TreeHouse has been serving youth since 1979. We believe that teens are a vital part of every community, but hopelessness is becoming a defining story for this generation. The CDC reports that 1/3 of teens across America report feeling hopeless. This kind of hopelessness breaks down both teens and communities.
TreeHouse is on a mission to end hopelessness among teens. Through grace-based programs and environments teens learn to know a loving God, build resiliency, develop healthy relationships, and plan for a future. Our vision is for every teen to be rooted in the living hope of Jesus, unleashing untold potential in themselves and communities everywhere.

Tickets: $30 in advance (ends at midnight 12/11/19) or $40 at the door
