Spirituals: Celebrating the Music, Life, and Legacy of Roland Hayes
Jackson Caesar, renowned international African American Tenor presents the music that observes and honors the life and legacy of Roland Hayes and his musical arrangements of spirituals. It is a delightful concert that is both entertaining and educational. It highlights a lesser known, but tremendously influential, African American musical legacy. The music and accomplishments of Roland Hayes continues to influence musical traditions in the church and in popular music today.
Doors open at 3:30pm, concert at 4pm at the Anacostia Arts Center. Located in the Historic Anacostia Neighborhood of Washington, DC this is a great way to celebrate Black History Month during the Valentines's Day weekend of Love with a musical tribute that is a celebration of life, passion, and history through song and music.
The Anacostia Artrs Center is located closest to the Anacostia Metro Station. Guests can park on the streets near the center.
Seating is limited so get your tickets now!!! Tickets may not be available at the door. Note: due to the nature of the concert there will be no intermission and late seating will only be accommodated during breaks in the musical sets. This is a limited engagement event no refunds are available for this event. Tickets purchased can be gifted.
