The Monarch Butterfly: Art and Science in the Classroom

CSME Teacher Twilight Series at Weber State University
Arts Learning Collaborative at Weber State University

Want to raise butterflies in the classroom? We will show you how and give you the supplies you need along with activities to engage and inspire your students. Extend your students learning with hands-on visual art and puppetry activities aligned with Utah math, science, and fine arts standards. Join us for 3-hour workshop where you go home with a curriculum guide, USBE relicensure points, and lots of ideas. 

Relicensure hours are available for licensed educators.

Light Dinner Provided, Parking on Campus is Free after 4 PM

Where: Weber State University, Ogden Campus, Kimball Visual Art Center (3964 W Campus Dr, Ogden, UT 84408)

The WSU Arts Learning Collaborative is a joint initiative between the Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities and Moyes College of Education that offers year-round professional learning opportunities in arts integration for K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, arts specialists, and WSU students. The Collaborative hosts an annual Arts Integration Conference and supports the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program–a statewide K-6 arts integration program.
