Join The Modesto Bee at the State Theatre as we host a Congressional debate on Wednesday, Jan. 22, featuring the six candidates — three Republicans and three Democrats — hoping to represent Stanislaus County and part of San Joaquin County in California's 10th Congressional District.

It’s the only known debate for which all six have committed to participate.

Challenging incumbent U.S. Rep. Josh Harder, a Democrat, are Republicans Ted Howze, Marla Sousa Livengood and Bob Elliott, and Democrats Mike Barkley and Ryan Blevins.

This event is free and open to the public and seating will be first come, first served. Registration is requested but it is not required, and not a guarantee for a seat. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the debate beginning at 6:30 p.m. No signs, posters, noisemakers or other disruptive items allowed inside venue and will be removed prior to entry.
