Description

The Mighty Dreadful
Established in 2014, The Mighty Dreadful have quickly been laying waste to stringband and country music tropes, becoming a fixture of the greater Seattle area. In a style best defined as “Modern Roots”, the band seeks to bring traditional sound forward into everyday life.

The current Dreadfuls are Kelly Erb, vocalist/fiddler/mother of dragons, Nick McLean, vocalist/guitarist, David Owens, vocalist/guitarist, and Andy Lowe struggling mute/bass. 2018 may be the end of civilization, but it also marks the first professional studio album by the band. A good mix of traditional bluegrass, blues, jazz, and folk music, its subject matter ranges from the Dory fishing fleet off the Oregon coast to the benefits of the devil’s lettuce.

A Craigslist ad gone right, the musical hookup between Kelly and former Dreadful member Clayton Kaiser fostered the groups greatest assets: writing and arranging with an overdose of humor. The group rapidly expanded to a proper rhythm section and has raged hell in the northwest ever since.

Angela Soffe Band
Angela Soffe is an Americana singer, songwriter, and leader of the award-winning Angela Soffe Band based in the Pacific Northwest. Her latest album, 'Second Wind' is the result of a darkness-into-light narrative, and marks a brave return to music. Raised by American parents in Southeast Asia, the artist weaves a glowing musical tapestry inspired by the flavors of her past. The weighty topics of her new album are exquisitely offset by soothing musicality, an amalgam of folk, pop, and bluegrass with touches of new age and classical music. Angela’s voice is known for its sweet emotional grace at the intersection of defiance, wonderment, longing, and vulnerability. Her music sits along masters like Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Sarah Jarosz, and Ben Rector.

Craig Marker
Over the past few years, Craig Marker has been using his music to capture the stories of those around him. There is a certain honesty that accompanies his storytelling — one that preserves the underlying feelings of desperation, hope, and uncertainty as he translates story to song. These songs reflect experiences of the past, struggles of the present, and dreams of the future — asking, “what if dreams can come true...and what happens if they don't?" He explains, “I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I like to think that I’m starting to ask the right questions.”

Rooted in acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals, he is simplistic yet purposeful in his style — forming a modern sound that is classically inspired.
