Professional Certificate in Microfinance (Distance Learning)

The Professional Certificate in Microfinance provides a broad based, practical introduction to the key ideas, techniques and skills needed to be a microfinance practitioner. Professional Certificate in Financial Analysis (Distance Learning)
The Professional Certificate in Financial Analysis is designed to deepen the economic and financial variables that microfinance practitioners has to consider and analyse in order to take decisions about the performance of their institutions. Topics covered: introduction to financial statement analysis, key elements for assessing viability and stability of a business, profitability analysis, solvency analysis, liquidity analysis, performance indicators, and key features of financial analysis.

Risk Management Program for Microfinance Regulators and Practitioners Nairobi, Kenya

This course will help microfinance institutions develop and improve the quality of their risk management processes and at the same time focus on problem prevention and early problem identification and control. It will further explore a broad range of regulatory policy issues affecting microfinance and the delivery of a variety of financial services to poor people. It will begin with a brief exploration of rationales for different types of financial system regulation, and their applicability in the microfinance context, as well as how to decide when and how to regulate microfinance.

Investors Matching Service - A unique service to microfinance institutions

The Investors Matching service is an integral part of the services offered by the Microfinance Association to institutional and private sector investors interested in investing in microfinance. The service is aimed at promoting and facilitating the creation of strategic partnerships through matching the interests of microcredit organisations with those of local and international investors. Several types of co - operation are possible, this include equity participation, joint-venture, technical cooperation, debt finance etc.
