The Michelle Corrao Story - Found: Triumph Over Fear
Event Information
About this Event
Every 73 seconds an American is sexually assaulted; every 9 minutes it is a child and only 5 out of 1,000 of these perpetrators will end up in prison (https://www.rainn.org/statistics). Michelle Corrao, mother, Author of Found: Triumph Over Fear, speaker and advocate for victims of violent crime, is all too familiar with these alarming numbers. Michelle will speak to attendees about what happened that fateful night of September 12, 1996 in Fort Wayne, Indiana when she was raped, beaten and left for dead in the trunk of her car by her attackers known as the "trunk rapists". Michelle will talk about the trauma she experienced afterward, her healing process and how through it all God never left her side. Her book, Found: Triumph Over Fear, can be purchased at the event and Michelle will be available for a book signing afterward. Michelle wants to let all survivors know they aren't alone and they can and will heal. She also wants to reassure everyone, "There are no time frames for healing."
