Description

We are delighted to bring you the “Mexico Conference 2018: The Path(s) Forward”, presented by students at Harvard. The conference will be held at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and at the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government on February 2nd and 3rd. This conference aims to promote debate around the path forward for Mexico over the coming 20 years for the country to become one of the 21st century's success stories. The conference will address the following themes:

  • Mexican Soft Power
  • Rule of Law: A Pending Agenda?
  • Security in Mexico: Challenges & Opportunities
  • Launching Mexico into the XXI Century: A New Economic Model
  • Improving People's Health in Mexico
  • Renegotiating NAFTA
  • Starting Up Mexico

  • José Antonio González Anaya. Mexico's Secretary of Finance
  • Alejandro Werner. Director for the Western Hemisphere, IMF
  • Daniela Liebman. Pianist, recipient of Mexico's 2014 National Youth Award
  • Alejandro Solalinde. Director of "Hermanos en el Camino", recipient of Mexico's 2012 National Human Rights Award
  • Renato Sales. Mexico's National Security Commissioner
  • Daniel Vogel. President and Co-Founder of Bitso, Latin America's largest cryptocurrency exchange
  • María del Carmen Alanis. Former Magistrate of the Federal Electoral High Court of México
