Description
Join us in celebrating the San Francisco launch of Logic Magazine's Issue 7, CHINA, with a roundtable conversation. We'll look at the realities of China's Social Credit system, with the latest insights from researchers who are examining the system on the ground.
Panelists:
Shazeda Ahmed is a PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley and a Fulbright researcher in China during the 2018-19 academic year. Her research on social credit has been featured on Merics, Citizen Lab and Chinafile. She is a contributor to Logic Magazine's CHINA issue.
Xin Dai is a law professor at Ocean University of China. He is author of several papers on China's Social Credit including "Toward a Reputation State: The Social Credit System Project of China", which won best paper at the IAPP Privacy Law Scholars Conference in 2018.
