About this event

Join our Menagerie in the lovely, shaded garden of the last standing Victorian on Lake Merritt. We strongly encourage, NO! We practically insist on period dress AND we are prepared to bribe you with raffle tickets for fabulous prizes during our contest to benefit the museum.

Tickets to our 2nd Annual Victorian Oddities Market include:

Shopping with 30 of our finest artists & vendors crafting uniquely bizarre art, curiosities, and antiques from the Victorian era; theatrics, entertainment & music for your amusement, and admission to the Camron-Stanford House Museum featuring an all new exhibit: Gadgets Galore! We're excited to offer a full tea service experience from Blue Victrola Tea.

General Admission 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm | $10

Ticket options for our Victorian Oddities experience include a VIP ticket or full tea service add-on with Blue Victrola Tea!

VIP TICKET: A limited number of VIP tickets are available to shop an hour before the market opens to the general public. VIP's also receive a velvet Menagerie tote bag and commemorative gift.

Tea Service Reservation Times:

11:00 - 12:30pm, 1:00 - 2:30pm, 3:00 - 4:30pm

FULL TEA SERVICE $66 (includes 20% gratuity) *You must purchase an Oddities Market ticket

FULL TEA SERVICE: Sit down & unwind at a whimsical tea table, set atop the veranda of the Camron-Stanford house overlooking the lovely rose garden and Lake Merritt. Enjoy a pot of tea of your choosing, an assortment of sandwiches, classic scones w/ jam & lemon curd, a refreshing small salad (mixed greens, olive oil & balsamic dressing, salt & pepper, goat cheese, green apple, glazed nuts), mixed seasonal fruits, & a delightful selection of sweets.

Vegan option includes an assortment of gluten free crackers, bread, seasonal fruits & veggies, vegan cheeses, and sweets.

Tea Selections *depending on supply (lemon, local honey, cream and sugar will be available):

2. Paris (black)

3. Apricot (black)

4. Japanese Sencha (green)

5. Blueberry Green (green)

6. Hibiscus (herbal)

7. Dandelion (herbal)

Bring friends, real or imaginary, we care not! Costumes, a keen wit, and a taste for something sweet or savory on the upper crust, is of course highly encouraged. ***Please Note: If there are less than 4 in your party, you will be seated at a table with complete strangers. Peculiar we know, but then, you were invited to “join us in all things ODD.” For larger parties, please contact us after you purchase your tickets. This is a formal tea service, please be on time as the session ends promptly when noted for the next group of patrons. Pinkies up!

In true Victorian fortune-telling fashion, tea leaf readings will also be offered on the veranda for a nominal fee.

Blue Victrola is a contracted service to enhance your experience during our Victorian Oddities show. Their resume includes the Secret Garden and Edwardian Ball. All ticket proceeds go directly to Blue Victrola. A 20% gratuity is INCLUDED the cost of your Tea Service. Don’t forget to purchase your market tickets!!

Foods are prepped in and around areas which may come in contact with eggs, nuts, and dairy products. Due to the logistics and nature of our event, we are UNABLE to accommodate people with food allergies at this time.

We're also offering tarot, henna, and food truck vendors. Come spend the day at the lake!

REFUNDS: All ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, the event will be rescheduled for the next available date and tickets will be accepted at that time.

SOLICITING: Absolutely NO soliciting our vendors for wholesale or vending other events during our event. Our vendors are professional artists connecting with patrons during the Menagerie ~ please be respectful and take a card to contact them later. Violators will be asked to leave and banned from future markets.

NO outside food, drink or promotional materials.

PARKING: Metered parking and valet parking are available at the site and there is a parking garage located at 100 Lakeside Dr. Do not leave anything visible in your vehicle!

COVID-19: Masks are recommended outdoors at our events; Check with the venue prior to arrival for their current Covid policy indoors.
