Special featured session on Saturday evening for you to experience a gong bath meditation.

Facilitators: Dr Ramesh Pattni, Sarah Waite & supported by Amit Majithia. Below are the Bio's of Dr Ramesh Pattni and Sarah Waite.

Dr Ramesh Pattni:

Dr Ramesh Pattni is a prominent member of the Hindu community in the UK and is well respected in not only the community but also in organisations and government circles. He has a wide range of experience in various fields and represents the community in many fora.

Ramesh has been a teacher and practitioner of Vedanta spirituality for over two decades. He holds regular weekly classes and conducts workshops and retreats on Vedanta and its applications in daily life for a blisssful and balanced life. Some of the workshops which he has conducted include: Vedanta: The Science of Happiness, Finding your Centre: Guide to Meditation; The Spiritual Toolkit for Happiness, In-Sight, Meditation Intensive, The Art of Letting Go.

He is a graduate of the King’s College London, holds three master’s degrees and has doctorate in Yoga Psychology from the University of Oxford. He also tutors and teaches at the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and gives public lectures on many aspects of Hinduism, religion and science and spirituality. Some of the recent public lectures include: Gandhi and the Bhagavad Gita, The Three Faces of Vedanta, and The Six Systems of Hindu Philosophy, The Boomerang Effect: Karma, Causation, and Rebirth.

His research interest is at the intersection of spirituality and psychology, in particular Yoga and psychology where he is exploring the psychological concepts and practices in the ancient Hindu texts for application in mental well-being. He has done workshops and lectures on the application of Yogic psychological techniques for training the mind to reach high states of concentration and absorption, states which can have immense value in all aspects of life for everyone, children as well as adults. He has considerable experience in spiritual guidance and counselling and has been helping individuals over many years.

Sarah Waite:

Sarah is a psychologist, coach, and sound healing practitioner. She’s lived with nuns, and learnt from the likes of Gong Master Sheila Whittaker, MBSR founder Jon Kabat-Zinn, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, and the Dalai Lama. Over the years, she’s coached and mentored hundreds of people, and held events, talks and workshops all over the world. Combining science, psychology, and the best in meditation, sound, movement, nature, arts and culture to 
re-imagine wellbeing. This is a feel-good, holistic approach for the mind, body and soul.
