The Marvin & Sheri Glazier Literacy Tea
Literature comes alive on April 2nd at our 9th annual tea party . This family-friendly event will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at John Bapst Memorial High School located at 100 Broadway in Bangor.
Each ticket is a passport to a “living library” where guests will be invited to tour roughly 35 tables, each decorated to represent a favorite children's book. Sumptuous snacks and pastries will be served throughout the event. No tea party is complete without tea, which will be provided by Tea Maineia. Literacy lovers of all ages will enjoy this educational and entertaining event.
This year’s featured Maine author/illustrator is Anne Sibley O'Brien from Peaks Island, Maine. Anne will read her book I'm New Here, a touching story about three immigrant children.
Tickets to the Literacy Tea are $25 each. Due to the popularity of this sell-out event, tickets are only available through advance purchase.
