ZAKI HASAN is a professor of Communication and Media Studies and member of the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle. His reviews and analyses have appeared in venues such as The San Francisco Chronicle, IGN, and Philly Weekly, and he is co-host of the MovieFilm Podcast. He has also contributed to books on the Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, and Blade Runner franchises.
MARY FAN is YA and SFF author based in Jersey City. Her books include Stronger Than a Bronze Dragon (YA steampunk fantasy), the Starswept trilogy (YA sci-fi), the Flynn Nightsider series (YA dark fantasy), the Fated Stars series (YA high fantasy), and the Jane Colt trilogy (sci-fi). Her short works have appeared in numerous anthologies, including Thrilling Adventure Yarns, Love, Murder & Mayhem, Magic at Midnight, Pangaea III: Redemption, and MINE!: A celebration of liberty and freedom for all benefitting Planned Parenthood. She is also the co-editor of Brave New Girls, a YA anthology series about girls in STEM benefitting the Society of Women Engineers scholarship fund and the editor of Bad Ass Moms, an anthology from Crazy 8 Press.
KARISSA LAUREL is a science fiction, fantasy, and romance author living in central North Carolina with her son, her husband, the occasional in-law, and a very hairy husky named Bonnie. Her favorite things are water sports, Star Wars, Southern cuisine, and Hindi cinema. Karissa serves as an assistant editor at Cast of Wonders, a young adult speculative fiction podcast--part of the Escape Artists family. Most recently, she is the author of Touch of Smoke, a paranormal romance novel available from Red Adept Publishing. She's also the author of The Norse Chronicles, an urban fantasy series, and The Stormbourne Chronicles, a young adult, epic steampunkish fantasy series. Her short stories will be appearing or are appearing in various anthologies including Unbound--Stories of Transformation, Love, and Monsters (Five Points Press, 2021) Thrilling Adventure Yarns 2021 (Crazy 8 Press, 2021) Bad Ass Moms (Crazy 8 Press, 2020) Thrilling Adventure Yarns; Volume 1 (Crazy 8 Press, 2019) and many more. Her short fiction has also appeared at Daily Science Fiction, Luna Station Quarterly, and Cast of Wonders.
RUSS COLCHAMIRO is the author of the rollicking time travel/space adventure, Crossline, the SF/F backpacking comedy series Finders Keepers: The Definitive Edition, Genius de Milo, and Astropalooza, editor of the SF mystery anthology Love, Murder & Mayhem, and co-author of the noir anthology Murder in Montague Falls, all with Crazy 8 Press. Russ has also contributed to more than a dozen other anthologies.
His latest novel, Crackle and Fire, the first in a new scifi mystery series featuring his intergalactic private eye, Angela Hardwicke. He is currently writing the second book in the series.
